Stacey: Fighting RA fatigue with RINVOQ

Music track and RINVOQ logo throughout.

STACEY: Hi, I’m Stacey and I have moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis.

I’ve been on RINVOQ since 2019. Hiking, hanging out with my family, doing crafting and woodworking. It’s part of who I am. It just makes me feel good. I feel productive.

Unfortunately, because of my rheumatoid arthritis I felt like life was passing me by because I was feeling more and more joint pain, stiffness, fatigue. We had planned a big hike with our friends. It was to go see some waterfalls. I love the waterfalls. And started out great. And then my body just said, “Nope, you’re done.” I felt like I was being left behind. And I felt like I was letting them down. So that’s the aha moment that I said, okay, I wasn’t settling.

I tried a lot of different medications. The TNF blocker, like HUMIRA, just wasn’t working for me. And I have joint damage. So, it was really important for me to work with my rheumatologist to find our way to stop progression.

And that’s when he suggested RINVOQ. And within a month, I was like, oh, well, I’m getting outta bed easier. I’m moving around easier. My joints don’t hurt as bad. I’m not as tired.

I have now been able to get back out into my workshop and start creating again. It is just a wonderful feeling. I’m back in action. Life does go on and RA doesn’t have to win.
